FAIRFAX, VA - Sean Perryman’s campaign for Lt. Governor of Virginia announced the endorsement of Fairfax County Supervisor John Foust on Wednesday. Foust represents the Dranesville district of Fairfax County, the most populous county in Virginia and a diverse stronghold of Democratic primary voters. This follows previous endorsements from Fairfax County Supervisors Rodney Lusk and Walter Alcorn, as well as Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano and Fairfax County School Board members Karl Frisch and Melanie Meren.
“I’ve watched first-hand as Sean has grown into one of the most pivotal progressive community leaders in Fairfax County,” said Supervisor Foust. “As President of our NAACP chapter, Sean built coalitions with elected officials like myself to make big gains for racial equity in education, workforce development, and our response to COVID. We still have a lot to get done in our Commonwealth, and I look forward to working with Sean in his role as Lt. Governor to create communities where all can prosper.”
“Supervisor Foust has been a steadfast advocate for progress in Fairfax County for years,” said Perryman. “His brand of competent local leadership is a staple in the county, where he has pushed for more educational opportunities, affordable housing, and transportation solutions. I’m proud to have him on our campaign as we work towards a government and economy that works for all Virginians rather than the powerful few.”
Foust’s endorsement brings the total number of endorsements for the Perryman campaign to more than 70. With three months until the June primary and strong support in the crucial NoVA, Richmond, and Hampton Roads regions, Perryman is on a clear path to victory.
Sean Perryman is President Emeritus of the Fairfax County Chapter of the NAACP, a technology public policy advocate, attorney, and former congressional investigator. If elected he would become one of the youngest Lt. Governors in Virginia history.
