FAIRFAX, VA – Sean Perryman’s exploratory campaign for Lieutenant Governor announced its first endorsement from a member of Virginia’s House of Delegates Thursday, Delegate Kaye Kory (D-38).
“I’m endorsing Sean because he is a dynamic leader taking on issues that matter most to Virginians. From criminal justice to women’s rights to climate change and the challenges of a pandemic, he is the partner I’d like to work with in the Lt. Governor’s office,” said Delegate Kory. “I’ve already worked closely with Sean this year as we fought to reallocate state funding for police in schools to funding for the mental health counselors we so desperately need in our schools.”
“Sean has a unique ability to rally support from diverse groups as he moves forward to create change. This is the ability that matters now as we look to tackle some of the most ambitious legislation ever put forward in our Commonwealth. I’m proud to stand with Sean, and I know he’ll be a Lieutenant Governor who truly serves all Virginians, as well as brings a particular knowledge of the needs of my constituents in the 38th District,” Kory added.”
In response to the endorsement, Perryman said, “Delegate Kory has been a powerful voice for women and her community for decades with valuable experience from her service across multiple levels of government. I’m beyond proud that she’s joining our campaign for a compassionate, 21st century Commonwealth.”
Sean Perryman is President of the Fairfax County Chapter of the NAACP, a technology public policy advocate, attorney, and former congressional investigator. If elected he would become the youngest Lt. Governor in Virginia history.
