FAIRFAX, VA – Sean Perryman’s campaign for Lt. Governor of Virginia rolled out a slate of new endorsements from elected officials, community leaders, and an activist group from the Shenandoah Valley region on Tuesday. This follows Perryman’s visit to Waynesboro to tour the RISE Black library and meet with local organizers on Saturday.

The list of endorsers includes:
Diana L. Williams, Vice Chair, Waynesboro School Board
Kathe Maneval, Waynesboro School Board Member
Penny Blue, Franklin County School Board Member-At-Large
Patrick Fritz, Candidate for HOD-26, Veteran, Community Activist – Broadway
Carol Johnson-Ford, Former Chair of the Waynesboro Democratic Committee
Sharon Fitz, Social Justice Activist – Waynesboro
Adolph Young, Community Activist – Waynesboro
Adrienne Young, Community Activist – Waynesboro
Community Concerned Citizens of Bristol

“Waynesboro’s RISE All Black Library is just one example of the incredible contributions that rural Virginia brings to our Commonwealth,” said Sean Perryman. “The important work done by Chanda McGuffin and Sharon Fitz to start this first-of-its-kind library means that Black Virginians in the Shenandoah Valley finally have a place to read about themselves and their history.”

“Uplifting Virginia means uplifting rural Virginia,” continued Perryman. “For too long, our elected officials in Richmond have neglected the needs of rural communities. My platform to empower rural Virginia includes providing universal, high-speed broadband, allocating more funding for rural public schools, and creating green jobs in the infrastructure, technology, and transportation sectors.”

Sean Perryman is President Emeritus of the Fairfax County Chapter of the NAACP, a technology public policy advocate, attorney, and former congressional investigator. If elected, he would become one of the youngest Lt. Governors in Virginia history.
